What Sophie is up to these days...
Thought I would actually write something for a change and let y'all know what our little sweet Sophie has been up to.
She's 9 1/2 months and is so extremely active. She's been crawling for a few months now and walks around furniture and with her little shopping cart. If you hold her hands though, she'll just go limp or jump. She has to do it herself!
I spend my days pulling her off the cat (she attacks him constantly but he really seems to like it. I guess any attention is good attention for him), sanitizing her hands after she's been playing in the toilet -again, picking up the cat food she dumps on the floor, pulling her away from the garbage, putting everything back in the cupboards that she's pulled out, dragging her away from the plants that I thought I had baby-proofed by putting up high (I guess she's grown cause she can reach them again) and then of course all the playing, diaper changes, snacking etc. Our days are a bit busy :-) She's a curious girl and wants to check out everything. Her toys aren't nearly as interesting as things she shouldn't play with - remotes, books, my glasses, my hair, her dirty laundry.
She is such a little character, so full of personality. She smiles & laughs often which we just love to hear. She's been saying mama and dada for a little while now and has lots of other sounds but no other words just yet.
She is a great little eater and we haven't found anything that she doesn't like yet. Last week she wasn't eating well (we were hoping she wasn't turning into a picky-eater) but it must have been the new teeth that were coming in cause she's back to normal now. In the last two weeks, three teeth have come in (making 5 in total) and we can see one more that is in progress. She won't let you look at them but the smiles or screams give you a good view. Luckily the screams are few and far between. Usually just when really hungry or tired.
The hair is slowly growing and there is actually a little tuft of it now which the pictures just don't do justice! Last week at an appt., she weighed 16lbs. 1oz. and measured 27 1/2 " long.
Take care!
