6m, Jackolanterns, & Alex's new Quilt

Sophie drew the faces and I carved EXACTLY what she had drawn - even the little squiggle of hair one had! So goofy & cute!

prior to carving the pumpkins, she had some fun with her Mr Potato Head parts

Alex's new quilt made by Grandma - so Beautiful!

Sophie: I'm going to the store Mommy (pretending)

Mommy: Okay Sophie. What are you going to buy?

Sophie: Ummm... toilet paper and markers!

Mommy: aaah, okay. *smiles*

Update

Just a quick little blurb to say that Alex is now 17lb 7oz and 27" long. That is only a few ounces & one inch shy of what Sophie was at ONE YEAR! He's growing fast and will be bigger than her very soon I suspect :-) He is now reaching his hands out for me and it melts my heart a wee bit. Such a sweet smiley boy. We had a big talk the other day and he has promised to be always good, love his mama, and never need to be yelled at. Guess I forgot to have that talk with Sophie when she was little LOL. Just kidding, she is a goofy, creative, and independant little girl. Always saying the funniest things that I have finally started writing down in a journal.

This is the first time that she has started talking about Christmas and what she wants. She wants everything basically - even if she already has a pink doll playpen, "But I dont have one in purple Mommy". She has even said she'd like pair of my pajamas and the books that I like to read. To help her with the 'giving' aspect of Christmas, we've picked up one of the shoeboxes that you fill with items for a little girl or boy and they get sent overseas. Some moments she does really good with coming up with what we should send the little girl and other moments its "but I want that". A work in progress I guess :0)

Happy Thanksgiving Family & Friends!
